Oliver Pötzsch is a German writer and filmmaker. He lives in Munich with his family. In addition to his professional activities in radio and television, Pötzsch spent some time delving into his family history, and he discovered that he descends from the Kuisle, from the 16th to the 19th Century a famous dynasty of executioners in Schongau. This inspired his best-selling series The Hangman’s Daughter.
