LIBRARY SERVICES TO TEACHERS AND HOMESCHOOLERS
The San Mateo County Libraries offer a number of services
to assist teachers and parents involved in homeschooling. These include:
- Teacher Card: borrow our library materials
for extended periods with no fines. For more information,
or to apply for a card, ask at your
local library.
- Assignment support: if you need materials for your
students on a particular topic, simply fill out the online
Assignment Alert Form .Your local Youth
Services Librarian will request materials for you from the 32 libraries
in the Peninsula Library System and have them sent to the library of
your choice.
- Class Visits: have a Youth Services Librarian visit
your classroom to read stories, introduce some good books, provide instruction
on library resources, or describe materials to help with a particular
assignment or topic.
- Library Visits: bring your class to
the library to hear stories, take a tour, learn how to find and use
library resources,
or get library cards.
