THE BEST ROAD BACK TO SCHOOL IS THROUGH YOUR LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARY
Library
You School
Your local public library has the resources and tools your need
to be a success at school. You can visit in person on online.
All you need is a library card.
  • Computers - there are public Internet stations at all public libraries, available for free.
  • Tutoring online from home: Connect live one-on-one with a professional tutor through the library's service Live Homework Help, available for 4th – 12th grade and college introduction level students in English, seven days a week from 1 PM – 10 PM, and in Spanish, Sunday – Thursday from 1 pm – 7 pm.
  • Information experts - your local Librarian is an information expert, ready to help you find what you need when you need it. You can reach your local expert in the library, by phone and online.
  • 100's of thousands of books, films, CD's, magazines, and more are at your fingertips. In the library, at home or at school our online catalog is a click away. Using the library’s catalog you can search for material, place holds, create lists and manage your personal account.
  • Community Service opportunities - the Library is always looking for volunteers to help with story times, assist with Internet training classes, and other library tasks and programs
  • Online databases to help you with research are available in the library and from home and school.
  • A quiet study place is waiting for you at the library. And if you have younger brothers and sisters in your care, the library has story times and other programs to keep them happy while you do a little homework. Just follow the links to your favorite library's Children's Events page.
