The California Libraries Catalog is a catalog of library holdings in California. It is part of WorldCat, a catalog of worldwide library holdings. You can view both the California Libraries Catalog and WorldCat through the California Libraries Catalog interface. The San Mateo County Library branches and the Peninsula Library System are part of the Greater Bay Area group within the California Libraries Catalog.
If you’re looking for materials, please search the Peninsula Library System catalog first.
If you are unable to find an item that you want in our catalog, the California Libraries Catalog is another place to search. If you find an item in the California Libraries Catalog, please contact the Reference Desk of your local branch for information about traveling to the library to view the item or placing an InterLibrary Loan request.
Please note that for some libraries the California Libraries Catalog may not reflect accurate holdings. If you are planning to travel to a nearby library to pick up an item you see in the California Libraries Catalog, please check the library’s online catalog directly to ensure that the item is actually still held by the library. Ask reference staff at your local branch for assistance.
There is a non-refundable $5 search fee for all InterLibrary Loan requests. This fee does not guarantee receipt of an item. The ILL process can take several weeks, and sometimes longer, if an owning library agrees to lend an item. For more information on placing an InterLibrary Loan, please contact the Reference Desk of your local branch. |
