Happy Presidents' Day
Presidents' Day is on Monday, February 18th, and, in addition to a three-day weekend and numerous store sales, Presidents' Day celebrates all of the U.S presidents, past and present. Falling on the third Monday in February, Presidents' Day was designed to fall between the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln (February 12) and George Washington (February 22). But how much do you really know about the U.S. presidents that the holiday honors?
Did you know:
- John Tyler played the violin and once aspired to be a concert violinist
- James Buchanan was the only president never to marry
- Woodrow Wilson was the only president to hold a doctorate degree
- Herbert Hoover could speak fluent Mandarin
- Barack Obama has read all of the Harry Potter books
