Green Dreams


Photo of garden.When I was living in the Midwest, it was just at this time of the year--a time when you KNEW that winter would never end--that the Earl May seed catalog would arrive in the mail, and one could at least dream of spring and summer. It's a lot less dramatic around here, but still you can detect the first stirrings of the gardening instinct.

Gardening need not be a solitary activity. Getting involved with the California Native Plant Society might provide an opportunity to meet like-minded people. You can even attend one of their Native Plant Lectures at our libraries.

Longer days and more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors are not that far away.
