Save the Date
On Sunday, August 28th at 2:00 pm, volunteer advocate John L. Lipp will be speaking about the benefits of volunteerism at the Belmont Library. Lipp has advice not just on the myriad of volunteer opportunities on the Peninsula, but also speaks to ways that volunteers themselves can enhance their experience.
The Right Place and the Right Time
Finding the right fit is crucial. Making that connection with co-workers who inspire goes a long way toward cementing a meaningful experience. And, always remembering to find the right balance between your not-for-profit work and your personal life is as important for volunteers as it is for paid employees.
To hear more about fulfilling volunteer experiences, don’t miss this entertaining talk at the Belmont Library. A reception with light refreshments will precede the talk and give you an opportunity to meet others who are considering volunteering their time for a good cause.
