Are Author Book-Signings Dying?

Photo of author signing a book. What will happen to author book-signing events as more and more books are released in digital format? No one is quite certain. While some can’t imagine life without the tactile pleasures of printed books, others rave about their reading experience with their Kindles, Nooks, iPhones, iPads, and the like.

Stephen King said on CNN, "The book is not the important part. The book is the delivery system. The important part is the story." At this point, we appear to be in a dynamic in-between stage, leaving consumers and library patrons their choice of book formats.

And, author book-signing events are still going strong.
