Stuck at Home?
The Atherton Library and the Brisbane Library are pleased to introduce their new Homebound Program. The start date of this program is scheduled to be March 15th, 2011.
How Do You Qualify?
This program provides services to those who are unable to get to the library because of:
• Short/long term illness
• Non-driver status (Senior)
• Physical challenges
• Visual disabilities
You can also be temporarily homebound due to pregnancy, maternity leave, injury, etc. For the Atherton service, you must live in Atherton or unincorporated Menlo Park/Redwood City. For Brisbane service, you must live within the city of Brisbane.
Benefits of Homebound Services
Library materials specifically selected for you, based on your interests, will be delivered to your residence. When you're ready for new items, we will drop those off and pick up the items you've finished with. You will receive:
• Personalized visits
• No overdue fines
• Longer lending periods
The library is seeking individuals who qualify for this service. Contact the library for more information at 650.328.2422 (Atherton) or 415.467.2060 (Brisbane).
Interested in Helping?
We are also seeking volunteers who can assist with delivering material to the homebound. Please call the numbers listed above for additional details.
Interested but Live in a Nearby City?
Other libraries near you may offer this service as well, so please contact your local branch.
