The Book

The Holy Bible : King James Version Last year we celebrated the 400th anniversary of the publication of the "Authorized Version" of the Bible, better known as "The King James Version." This remarkable book had an incalculable impact not only on religious thought in the English speaking world, but on the English language itself. The book Begat takes an interesting and often amusing look at this aspect of the Authorized Version.

On some rare occasions a committee can actually achieve something great. As one might expect, there any many resources on the Web. This one can be particularly useful. Or, if you want to check out the print version, just open the dresser drawer the next time you're staying in a motel and chances are The Gideons will have left you a copy.
