Websites For Bookworms

Flavorwire just published this awesome roundup of Cool New Websites Every Bookworm Should Bookmark.

I plan to add:

Newswordy – definitions of hot words pulled from the news. Great if you’re a language junkie and like Geoff Numberg’s bits on Fresh Air.

CoverSpy – what strangers are reading, for example: The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm (F, 30s, white keds, flowered jumper, paisley purse, freckles, and hair in bun, Q train).

Very Short List – your early warning system for the best new titles and authors everybody will be chattering about next month.

Longform – which curates new and classic nonfiction and makes for excellent browsing. I stumbled upon Runaway Money and I can’t wait to get a minute to read about the heir to the Goodnight Moon fortune.

Other Great Websites for Bookworms

Goodreads and LibraryThing both help you track what you’ve read and what you want to read.

SMCL.org, of course! You can find book recommendations, as well as create an account that will let you rate, tag and review books, and track what you’ve read and what you want to read.

Author Bio:
