Youth Homework Tutor
Help children with homework. age 16 and over
Teens Reading with Children
Teens help young students with reading in East Palo Alto, Millbrae, Half Moon Bay or Belmont. age 14 and older
Library Greeter
Welcome people to the library and help provide directional assistance. age 16 and older
Collection Assistant
Help keep books and materials in order, neat and mended. age 16 and older
Home Delivery
Deliver materials to the homebound. age 16 and older
Internet Tutor
Teach library users to use computers. age 16 and older
Storyteller
Tell stories at your library and local day care centers. age 18 and older
Program Assistant
Help library staff with programs for children and adults, such as helping with crafts, counting attendees, passing out supplies, etc.. age 16 and older

Office Help
We are in need of dedicated volunteers to help ups with multiple office and in-library assistance to help us better serve our patrons. Duties could include delivering library materials to medical clinics and other venues to helping sort and weed library discards to designing and creating craft projects or felt storyboard characters for our story times. Many other short or long term volunteer opportunities are available.

Incarcerated Youth Book Club Group Leader
Join an experienced library staff member as part of a team to lead a book club for four weekly sessions at the Youth Correctional Facility and Camp Kemp in San Mateo. Training is provided and fingerprinting and background check is required.

Special Events or Projects
This volunteer opportunity would be perfect for a student needing to get a few community service hours. Our outreach programs have many opportunities throughout the year to help out at a children’s, health or community fair where the library has an information booth.
