Charged Particles has a repertoire that blends jazz styles with elements from Latin music, classical music, funk, and more. The group's original compositions are mixtures of elaborate orchestration and opportunities for creative improvised solos. The trio brings a similar approach to playing arrangements by other jazz artists, including favorites by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Richard Rogers, and other composers of America's most popular songs from decades ago, each played with a new twist.

Bharata Natyam: Indian Classical Dance Performance

Celebrate Asian-Pacific Heritage Month with a performance by the Pagrav Dance Studio! Bhatara Natyam is a classical Indian dance inspired by ancient Indian sculptures. It has different poses and postures which help improve balance. You will learn a few dance steps, hand gestures, and a dance piece, even if you have never danced before.

Henna hand art demonstrations and a sampling of Indian cuisine will also be featured!
