Join us for Tai Chi in the Woodside Library Native Plant Garden (weather permitting). This centuries old Asian exercise builds stronger bodies, better balance, a sharper mind, and is a great stress reliever. Instructor Ben Dineen leads this 60 minute class, which is open to all ability levels. Program is generously funded by The Friends of Woodside Library.

Medicare 2015: Are you Ready For Medicare?

Come and get a general overview of Medicare and what you need to know about it. The Medicare Annual Election Period takes place October 15 to December 7, and allows seniors to buy a prescription drug plan or change their existing plan. Counselors will provide an introduction to Medicare Part D options and assist participants with finding a plan that meets their individual needs.

Are you interested in sharing the gift of reading and writing? Become an adult literacy tutor. Support, empower and encourage adult learners to improve their reading and writing skills! It will have a positive impact on the lives of your student and his or her family, as well as your own. Volunteers meet with their students one-on-one once a week in various libraries throughout the county. To attend the upcoming training, please contact Linda Roderick for more information. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
