Off the Beaten Path: Photographs of the Western National Parks & National Monuments

Ken Napior will show photographs he has taken in a variety of parks, including Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Great Basin, Mesa Verde, Yellowstone, Glacier, Mt. Rainier, and Zion. He hikes in and sees views the less adventurous traveler might have missed. He will also offer tips about traveling by RV.

Ken Napior has visited about 104 National Parks and National Monuments. He is a retired structural engineer with 27 years of experience as a Boy Scout Leader. He is also an American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid Instructor.

Join Tom Brocher, Director of the U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake Science Center, to learn more about what to expect when the big one hits. He will go over lessons learned from the 1906 San Francisco and the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquakes.
