Description:

En plein air, is a French expression which means "in the open air," and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Teens 12 and older, perhaps with a parent, will be able to work under the guidance of Maxine Mintz Pottier, accomplished painter. Pre-registration for the 12 spaces is required as the instructor wants to suggest what materials to bring. Adults are also encouraged to join. The program is generously funded by the Friends of the Woodside Library.

Sneetches Storytime with the Redwood Symphony

Join us for a special storytime as Maestro Eric Kujawsky of the Redwood Symphony gives us a sneak preview of their Family Halloween Show, "The Sneetches!" Children will learn about orchestras and get up close with instruments. A copy of "The Sneetches" by Dr. Seuss and two tickets to the performance will be raffled off at the event. His visit will be followed by an extra-silly storytime: Dr. Seuss would be proud!
