Description:

Play and learn together at our family learning workshops. Each session includes playtime, crafts, singing, and reading facilitated by library staff and child development specialists. THIS PROGRAM IS BILINGUAL. Each week focuses on a different theme. Classes are 1.5 hours long and are designed for children 0-5 and their parents/caregivers.

PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL SESSIONS. TO MAKE RESERVATIONS CALL OR VISIT THE SERVICE DESK. SPACE IS LIMITED.

Get a glimpse of the art of batik, whose remarkable diversity draws inspiration from a wide range of cultures and religions. On exhibit from November 2012-May 2013 at the Asian Art Museum is a collection of some of the finest batik textiles in existence. Batik is an artistic tradition of the Indonesian island of Java.
