J.M.W. Turner: Painting Set Free

Description: Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851) was one of the greatest British artists of the 19th Century. This docent lecture will review his paintings on display at the DeYoung Museum from June 20-September 20. Turner’s paintings are revered for their spectacular effects of light and color, and have influenced generations of artists.

Batman Day

Description: Come to the library in your best Batman gear and join us for Batman Day. We will be celebrating all day with free giveaways (while supplies last) at both the Pacifica Sanchez and the Pacifica Sharp Park Libraries. At 3:30 PM, both libraries will have a staff-led craft. Make your own wrist cuffs at the Sharp Park Library or join us at Sanchez to make a Batman cape. This program is generously funded by the Pacifica Friends of the Library and the San Mateo County Library. For ages 4+.
