Description: Found a book I didn't like and figured out how to make it something beautiful. Start with a page of the written word (someone else's). Hunt for a hidden idea, thought, or emotion. Highlight those words; blackout the rest. Decorate with designs. Done! I created something unique by turning another person's poor prose into powerful poetry!

Learning to Live with Mountain Lions

This workshop will talk about how to live safely with our lions and other wildlife. Description: Let's get ready for El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) April 30th by making (and eating!) tortillas. According to Dictionary.com, a tortilla is a "round, thin, flat bread of Mexico made from unleavened cornmeal or, less commonly, wheat flour. Traditionally the corn (maize) for tortillas was boiled with unslaked lime to soften the kernels and loosen the hulls. The grains were ground on a stone saddle quern, or metate.

Featured are more than 60 stunning costumes, 30 costume accessories, and an array of related fashion sketches from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection.
