Bay Area Discovery Museum: Push, Pull, Crash

Description: Balls, marbles and cars . . . oh my! In Push, Pull, Crash!, young scientists experiment with push and pull of different magnitudes to cause and avoid collisions, create art, and engage in playful exploration of their own powers of force. A hands-on exploration will engage the senses and the imagination! A Museum educator will lead a whole group circle time and then support families to question, problem solve, and communicate ideas at five investigation stations.

Edible EdVentures for Teens

Description: Students explore four ingredients harvested from rainforests around the world and learn how these plants get from nature to the table. Lesson activity includes making ice cream using some of the featured ingredients! For youth in 5th-9th grades. Prior signup is required on a class-by-class basis, and can be accomplished by calling or visiting the library six days prior to each workshop.
