Description: Join us for a book preview and beer-tasting! Library staff will highlight recommendations from new 2015 releases and the talented brewers of Freewheel Brewing Company, in Redwood City, will pour handcrafted beers made in the British, cask-conditioned style for tasting. Light refreshments will also be served. This is a wonderful opportunity to see what's new in the book world, find out what others have read and loved, and share your love of reading. And all while trying some of the best micro-brews in the Bay Area (and beyond!).

Description: Spanning more than 400 years of artistic production, this exhibition at deYoung Museum—March 7 to May 31--includes works by many of the greatest painters from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Some, including Sandro Boticelli’s Virgin Adoring the Sleeping Christ Child (ca. 1490), have never before been seen in the United States. This docent lecture will review works from the three institutions that form the National Galleries of Scotland.
