Description: Read-Along Shakespeare from May 2013 through November 2013 will meet in the upstairs Community Rooms. Gather with other fans of Shakespeare to read his works.  Please bring a copy of the play if you have one as only a few library copies may be available. Third Wednesday of every other month, 7 PM - 9 PM at the San Carlos Library in the Parent/Teacher Room.

Richard Diebenkorn: The Berkeley Years, 1953-1966: Docent Lecture

Description: This docent lecture examines one of the most complex periods in the distinguished career of Richard Diebenkorn, whose painting are on exhibit at the de Young Museum from June 22 to September 29. The artist’s evolution, during his “Berkeley period”, yielded many of his best-known works. The Berkeley period included an abstract phase (1953–1956) and a figurative phase (ca. 1955–1967) that included landscapes, figures, interiors, and still life.
