This Year, Try a Video Holiday Card!
If you like to send out cards for the holiday season--and can actually get them in the mail on time--then color me impressed!
Heartfelt (Though Not Handwritten)
If you never seem to have the time to make the effort worth it, have you considered making a video card for your friends and family? My husband and I have done this for the past two years, and judging from the feedback we've gotten, it makes a wonderful alternative. (It's also the kind of thing you can procrastinate on without so much repercussion.)
Let the World Inspire You
It doesn't have to be anything big and fancy--sometimes it's just nice to find a pretty outdoor spot or a comfy scene in your house, let the camera roll, and let your loved ones know you're thinking about them. It can be so nice to hear the voices and see the facial expressions that come with a video.
And of course, if you feel creative and adventurous, you can push the limits! You can even share a little known fact about the holiday (that you learned from Inventing Christmas: How Our Holiday Came to Be). Check out what we did last year.
