Fibers! Hands-On Workshop With Peopleologie

Image:

Follow the process from cotton boll to cloth and from sheep to sweater. It’s all about fibers, from start to finish. How many threads are you wearing? Where do they come from, and how do they stick together? How is cloth made? Learn all about the oldest methods known to human beings for staying warm and cool!

This workshop will take place over 3 consecutive weeks. We will be creating something wonderful. Attendance to all 3 is recommended but not required.

Peopleologie focuses on people, places, traditions, lives, and practices. Workshops treat participants to an inside look at ancient and contemporary indigenous life and the preservation of cultural heritage around the world.
This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Portola Valley Library.
