Modern Nature: Georgia O’Keeffe and Lake George Docent Lecture

Image:

This docent lecture examines the extraordinary body of work created by Georgia O’Keeffe in her years at Lake George, in conjunction with the deYoung Museum’s exhibition, Modern Nature: Georgia O’Keeffe and Lake George, on display from February 15-May 11, 2014. This is the first major exhibition devoted to this period in her career. During this highly productive decade, O’Keeffe created more than two hundred paintings on canvas and paper in addition to sketches and pastels, making the Lake George years among the most prolific and transformative of her seven-decade career.
