Drop-in Chess at San Carlos Library

Image of chess board. We are starting a new program here at the San Carlos library -- a drop-in chess club, free for all! If you've been looking for a spot to test your game and hang out with other players, then the San Carlos library is providing a great opportunity for you to come on by and play a few rounds. And if you've never played chess before but have always been curious about it, we'll provide basic instruction for anyone. We'd love to show you why chess is still one of the most popular games in the world, even after being around for thousands of years.

The San Carlos Library chess club will be held in the Parent-Teacher room on Thursdays from 4-5:30pm, and is recommended for grades 3 and up. Chessboards and sets will be provided but if you want to play with a clock, you'll have to bring your own!
