You Don't Need a Kindle to Read eBooks

No Kindle? No Worry!

The Library now has a growing collection of Kindle eBooks available for free download and loan. Better yet, you don't even need a Kindle to read them. There are free Kindle apps available for various computers, tablets, and smartphones.

So whether you have a PC, Mac, iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, Blackberry, Android device, or otherwise, go to the library eBook collection and click on the blue My Help icon. Just follow the interactive guide to get the correct app and start borrowing Kindle eBooks.

A Helpful Tip

As you might suspect, the Kindle eBooks are very popular, with many on waiting lists. To locate Kindle titles that are available right now, go to the eBooks Advanced Search screen. Checkmark the box labelled "Only show titles with copies available." Then select Kindle Book from the Format pulldown menu, and hit Search.

Happy browsing and reading!
