San Mateo County Library (SMCL) is leading an effort to understand the community’s current and future needs regarding Library Services in San Carlos. We invite the public to attend one or both of the two community meetings being conducted by Anderson Brule Architects (ABA).
Please Attend Our Planning Meetings!
ABA will be compiling a needs assessment for the San Carlos Library that will be used for an interior redesign of our building. The first workshop is scheduled for May 25 from 7-9:30 in the conference rooms on the second floor of the Library located at 610 Elm Street. You’ll have a second opportunity to participate on July 13, also from 7-9:30. Meeting attendees will be asked to participate in some brainstorming activities. Light refreshments will be available courtesy of the Friends of the San Carlos Library.
We Want to Hear From You!
In addition to these meetings, SMCL has also added a survey. This survey will be available until June 13. We encourage all to fill out this survey whether or not you can attend either of the community meetings. This is your opportunity to directly affect the future course of San Carlos Library services and the building in which these services are provided.

Chet has worked in every branch of the San Mateo County Library system and has been with San Carlos since 1996. He is looking forward to seeing walls that are not painted all white.
