Patch Into Your Local Community

Patch Patch logois a community focused website that describes itself as ” a new way to find out about, and participate in, what’s going on near you.” Although funded by AOL, Patch makes no mention of their supporter. The site has a nice, clean design that is easy to navigate.

There are quite a few cities in the Pennisula area (Foster City, Millbrae, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Carlos, and South San Francisco with dedicated Patch sites and there are more coming soon (Belmont, Half Moon Bay, and Pacifica).

A Look at the Millbrae Library

The Millbrae Library has been featured in a few articles, including pieces on our monthly Lawyers in the Library program and a recent Haiku Workshop. Two of our regular and very dedicated volunteers were just featured in the video essay below entitled Tired But Not Retired. The Millbrae Library is proud to offer a wide variety of great programs and we are very lucky to have such a great group of helpful volunteers.

If you’d like to stay up to date on events at the library don’t forget to check out our branch page  on the San Mateo County Library website. If you are interested in volunteering at the library please contact the library at (650) 697-7607.
