LIBRARY AIDE
$10.23-$12.79/hour
All community libraries use part-time Library Aides
to check in returned library materials, shelve library materials,
keep the library neat and orderly, and perform related library/office
tasks such as photocopying, etc. Library Aides must be able to bend
and stretch, push book trucks, and lift heavy library books. Schedules
are flexible. Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available.

QUEST COLLEGE TUTOR/MENTORS
$16.97-$18.97/hour
QUEST Learning Center College Tutor/Mentors are required to provide daily homework assistance in all academic subjects to 3rd − 12th grade students from the East Palo Alto schools, public and private. Tutor/mentors must also facilitate the development of new academic skills, focused primarily on improving students’ reading fluency and comprehension as well as provide a supportive environment that encourages learning and student academic growth. Attendance at weekly 1½-hr staff training is mandatory. The meeting is for discussion of individual student progress by each tutor with the group as a whole, for setting rotating assignments, and for workshops and training sessions in teaching and mentoring methods and the use of teaching aids. This position is part-time, temporary, and has a 17.5-hour weekly maximum. QUEST Tutors work from mid-August through June.
