It's your library, get involved.

Giving of your time and talents is a priceless way to contribute to your community and your library. If you are a student, volunteering at the library is an excellent way to perform community service. If you want to help, please read the descriptions below and complete an application or call us at 650.312.5258.

  • Homework Helper
    Assist children in grades 1-6 with homework assignments on weekday afternoons during the school year.

  • Internet Tutor
    Assist patrons learning to use PC computers .
  • Library Greeter
    Greet and direct patrons at the Library of your choice. (Must be 16 or older.)
  • Storyteller
    Storytimes are very popular, so popular that our Youth Services staff can use volunteers to keep up with demand.
  • Collection Inspector
    Assist staff by examining, processing and mending materials and making sure shelves are in order.
  • Program Assistant
    Assist staff with programs for children and adults.
  • Home Delivery
    Deliver materials to your home bound neighbors.

  • Many other projects
