The Library welcomes cash gifts, memorial donations and bequests. A gift to the library is a lasting contribution to the entire community and a meaningful way to honor a loved one or a special event. Another way to make a monetary donation to the Library is through a local Friends group. Either way we thank you for your support.

"In Honor of" Contribution
A donation to the San Mateo County Library is a lasting way to pay tribute to those you care about.
Gifts of $30 or more are acknowledged with a letter to the family or person you specify. In addition, a gift plate is placed on the purchased item, permanently recognizing your support and your honoree.

Each year in the late summer the Library conducts its Adopt-A-Magazine campaign.
Full and partial donations toward the subscription costs are a significant help to the library.
Contact us by email and we will respond with all you need to know when the time is right. Please include Adopt-A-Magazine in the subject field.
ALL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Donate used books, videos, etc.
Used materials in good condition are given to our friends groups for their book sales. The proceeds are used to enhance the programs and activities of the Library.
Please do not drop off items without first checking with the Library. While we are grateful for donations of books, videos, CDs, audio books, and other materials, we do not always have the space to store them. The Library does not offer pick-up service.

Neighbors working together today build communities that look
to the past with pride and to the future with faith.
